• Premium subscription features

3. Account Registration and Security

To use certain features of the Service, you must register for an account. You agree to:

• Provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration
• Maintain and update your information to keep it accurate and current
• Maintain the security of your password and account
• Accept responsibility for all activities that occur under your account
• Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account

You must be at least 13 years old to use this Service.

4. Acceptable Use Policy

You agree NOT to use the Service to:

• Violate any local, state, national, or international law
• Create or distribute malware, viruses, or malicious code
• Engage in phishing, scamming, or fraudulent activities
• Harass, abuse, or harm others

5. User Content and Responsibilities

You retain ownership of content you create using the Service (protected links, customizations, etc.). However, you grant us:

• A license to host, store, and display your content as necessary to provide the Service
• The right to remove content that violates these Terms or applicable laws

You are solely responsible for:

• The content you protect and share through our Service
• Ensuring you have the right to use any logos, images, or branding you upload
• The destination URLs you create protected links for
• Compliance with all applicable laws regarding your content and links

6. Subscription Plans and Billing

Free Plan

Our free plan includes limited features and usage restrictions as specified on our pricing page. We may modify free plan limits at any time with notice.

Paid Subscriptions

Paid subscription plans are billed on a recurring basis (monthly or annually). You agree that:

• Subscriptions automatically renew unless canceled before the renewal date
• You authorize us to charge your payment method for recurring subscription fees
• Prices may change with 30 days notice to active subscribers
• No refunds are provided for partial subscription periods
• Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period

Payment Processing

Payments are processed securely through Stripe. We do not store your full credit card information. By providing payment information, you represent that you are authorized to use that payment method.

7. Cancellation and Termination

Your Rights

You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings. Upon cancellation:

• You retain access to paid features until the end of your billing period
• Your account will automatically downgrade to the free plan
• Your protected links will remain active subject to free plan limitations
• You can delete your account and all data by contacting us

Our Rights

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if:

• You violate these Terms of Use
• Your account is used for illegal or harmful activities
• Payment for your subscription fails
• We determine termination is necessary to protect our Service or users

8. Intellectual Property

The Service and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by ShieldmyLinks and are protected by international copyright, trademark, patent, trade secret, and other intellectual property laws.

Our trademarks and trade dress may not be used without prior written consent. You may not:

• Copy, modify, or create derivative works of the Service
• Reverse engineer or attempt to extract source code
• Remove or alter any proprietary notices
• Use our branding in a way that suggests endorsement

9. Third-Party Services

Our Service integrates with third-party services including:

• Google reCAPTCHA for bot protection
• Cloudflare Turnstile for bot protection
• Stripe for payment processing
• Supabase for data storage

Your use of these services is subject to their respective terms and policies. We are not responsible for the availability, content, or practices of third-party services.

10. Service Availability and Modifications

We strive to provide reliable service but cannot guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. We reserve the right to:

• Modify, suspend, or discontinue any aspect of the Service
• Update features, pricing, or plan limitations
• Perform maintenance that may temporarily affect availability
• Impose limits on usage or storage

We will provide reasonable notice of material changes when possible.

11. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

We do not warrant that:

• The Service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free
• The results obtained from using the Service will be accurate or reliable
• Any errors in the Service will be corrected
• Protected links will prevent all unauthorized access

12. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, SHIELDMYLINKS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS OR REVENUES, WHETHER INCURRED DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, USE, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES RESULTING FROM:

• Your use or inability to use the Service
• Unauthorized access to or alteration of your content
• Statements or conduct of any third party on the Service
• Any content obtained from the Service
• Any other matter relating to the Service

Our total liability for any claims under these Terms shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim, or $100 USD, whichever is greater.

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless ShieldmyLinks, its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses, including reasonable attorney's fees, arising out of or in any way connected with:

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction where ShieldmyLinks operates, without regard to conflict of law provisions.

Any disputes arising from these Terms or the Service shall be resolved through binding arbitration, except that either party may seek injunctive relief in court for intellectual property disputes.

These Terms, along with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and ShieldmyLinks regarding the Service.

Severability

Waiver

No waiver of any term of these Terms shall be deemed a further or continuing waiver of such term or any other term.

Assignment

You may not assign or transfer these Terms or your rights under these Terms without our prior written consent. We may assign these Terms without restriction.
